I used the search function, i used google, and checked abfishing guide

http://www.albertafishingguide.com/location/water/all/bow-river-downstream-carseland-weir

I do NOT understand the zones, nor does it seem i know the city very well.

If i fish under the glenmore bridge by deerfoot meadows...by all the car dealerships.

What is that considered?

I BELIEVE it is this

I would really appreciate a double check on that...because if i click the "fishing zone" i get this for blue ribbon and back to confusion

Thanks a lot!

From (now) Harvie Passage (previously the W.H.D. Weir - is the boundry). Open all year. Down to Caresland weir.

from the Western Headworks Diversion (W.H.D.) Weir downstream to the Carseland Weir (includes 500 m of the Highwood River and the 3 Carburn Park Ponds) but excluding all waters in the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary (see Inglewood Bird Sanctuary) – Open all year.

So you are good!

The river is open from Harveys passage to carsland weir all year round that is basically from the 17th AVE bridge in Calgary to the town of Carseland. I don't know what the regs are for keeping fish in this area I think they change throughout the season. If you just release all the fish you catch this wont be a problem. Where you are fishing is open.

Blink...

Your error may be caused by your information source.

Both other responders used the Alberta Govt Regulations whereas you we using an "Internet" source. Be very careful with internet sourcing. Errors will exist.

Always check the official regulations, the "Alberta Fishing Guide" is just that, a guide not the source document. You'll notice they have a disclaimer at the top of the page and a link to the real regulations. I wonder how many people will be caught by this.
