SilverDoctor
Perfect topping, congratulations, hard to do. Use a piece of paper between the vice and hook to avoid scratching the finish of the shank.
ggp
Thanks Lornce , these are old hooks I have cut the eye off of, then added thirty pound dacron to simulate the gut, so I won't worry too much about scratching the hooks! I appreciate the comment!

ggp
I've been trying to delete this picture so as to replace it with a (in my opinion) better one of the same fly. I don't seem to be able to remove it, therefor I will just add the newer picture!

jaymack
Woolly Buggers, a little hard to fill up the body on a size 2 hook with 6" saddle hackle though.
Flyfisher
Woolly Buggers, a little hard to fill up the body on a size 2 hook with 6" saddle hackle though. For most situations I find wooly buggers, wooly worms and other palmered patterns work best if palmered on the sparser rather than on the heavy side. I wouldn't make the wraps any closer than you have them. I like to use lower quality hackle, the fibers aren't so stiff as good stuff and impart more movement in the water. I'll might go to a heavier palmered fly if fishing in low visibility water as a heavy palmer pushes more water there by attracting more attention.
