I was skimming the weather page to see the forcast for a few places and ran across this.

 

Snowfall warning for: Crowsnest Pass-Pincher Creek-Waterton Park

Issued at 3:24 PM MDT THURSDAY 4 OCTOBER 2007

15 TO 25 CENTIMETRES OF SNOW TONIGHT AND FRIDAY.

A COLD UPPER DISTURBANCE WILL COMBINE WITH EASTERLY UPSLOPE WINDS TO GENERATE SNOW ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN ALBERTA TONIGHT AND FRIDAY. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 15 TO 25 CENTIMETRES ARE EXPECTED IN THE CROWSNET PASS PINCHER CREEK AND WATERTON PARK REGION. SNOW WILL BEGIN FALLING NEAR MIDNIGHT TONIGHT AND CONTINUE FOR MOST OF FRIDAY BEFORE THE SYSTEM MOVES EAST.

 

PLEASE REFER TO THE LATEST PUBLIC FORECASTS FOR FURTHER DETAILS.

Yeah. just getting primed for winter fissin' :)

 

15 cm of snow would be welcome moisture. Rain a few weeks back would have been preferred.

 

Sort of a bummer. We were heading back to Bullshead tomorrow and TODAY was the day to go. NO WIND and we missed it. Sure as hell not going there tomorrow even if the forecast for Cypress is only half correct.

 

Sunday will be prime though. A westerly flow. ;)

BAH!!! it was great up there today. A little chilly first thing in the morning and a little snow from time to time, but the water was clear, low and the fish were on.
