monger Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Another newb question. Do you guys drag another fly around behind your first streamer? I'm just wondering if it is beneficial or it just causes problems. Quote
agbff Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Depends on what your fishing. Boatman patterns ahead or behind a clouser can be productive in the fall. However, creating another hinge point in set up can make casing more difficult. Quote
jdangler Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I throw 2 sreamers sometimes with a couple of different leader set ups, sometimes streamers with small lead eyes or beads, occasional tangle, but no more than casting 2 nymphs. Quote
fishinglibin Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 And if I may add to the question, if you do, do you tie to the hook shaft, or the loop, and why? Quote
jdangler Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 And if I may add to the question, if you do, do you tie to the hook shaft, or the loop, and why? Mostly off the bend to the second fly because it is easy. Quote
