It is an 8 piece rod that my buddy has and he is wondering what it is worth. He wants to get into fly fishing and got this rod from somewhere and would rather trade someone for a full combo that would appreciate a bamboo rod. Any information is greatly appreciated. Looks like it's a fly/spin combo rod as it has 3 tips and one looks thicker then the other two, plus the butt section in the photo is set up for a spinning reel... SilverDoctor Posted February 20, 2011 Share Posted February 20, 2011 Unfortunately those combo rods don't go for a lot. It's neither a fly rod or spinning rod. Next it's not one of the name brand collectors tend to gravitate toward and pay top money for (never heard of the brand). Seeing pictures of the rod along with a close up of the logo would help but based on his written description here I would say between $50 and $75. I have a 3 pce vintage Bamboo fly/spin rod in case and box, w original reel and replacement end piece. I have a pic but it is too big to load on this site.
