trailhead
That sweet rod would do excellent on any lake stocked with "put & take" pan sized trout.
monger
I've been practicing my perch spey cast all afternoon. I think I'll be ready to land the chironomid in the hole by the weekend.

monger
Jared, first fish hooked was about an 8 lber. During the fight the 4 lb test cut through the rubber supporting the marmish tip, but I did get him up the hole. The tiny reel was singing on some runs. I have now inserted a old rod tip top into the rubber piece so I'm set for next monster fish.

monger
Very complicated fly...silver bead and then six smaller tungsten beads (#12 2457). Perch can be so picky.... The high tech reel seat could be a bit better on this rod model
