monger Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 Jared, first fish hooked was about an 8 lber. During the fight the 4 lb test cut through the rubber supporting the marmish tip, but I did get him up the hole. The tiny reel was singing on some runs. I have now inserted a old rod tip top into the rubber piece so I'm set for next monster fish. Quote

monger Posted January 13, 2011 Author Posted January 13, 2011 Very complicated fly...silver bead and then six smaller tungsten beads (#12 2457). Perch can be so picky.... The high tech reel seat could be a bit better on this rod model Quote
