I love my Panasonic TS-1 which has been replaced by the even better TS-2. It doesn't say freezeproof but I've used it ice fishing as a underwater camera without any issues. The new TS-2 is officially freezeproof though.

I use Olympus (Stylus 550wp) and would not use anything else for the price. Definatly overdelivers for the price. Got mine with areo plan miles!!!

Pentax Optio Wxx (e.g. 90) if you like macros (down to 1cm focus) and want a slimmer profile, beside underwater functions.

If you want to go for highest pic quality for some extra bucks, Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2.

Check out the Lumix, Zeis lens, HD video, love mine.

Have had the cannons & the optio before and this is quite abit better.

Can sell you my old Optio with extra battery if you like.

to add more confusion...

I replaced my broken (my son's fault, not Olympus) 1050SW with a Canon D10. Like the Canon way more. A much bigger camera, but takes far better pictures in a non-fishing environment that the other water proof cameras I have used.
