troutpirate Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 those are sweetest mountain 'bows i have seen in a long time. is there still a lot of 'bows in that lake or are they just incidentals, while fishing for the main attraction, now that the rainbow stocking has been discontinued? Quote

They are far, and few between...Most times, a guy just gets lucky... ...Days on end = on certain body's of water, usually result in something good... ... Cheers...Jeff.. Quote

lorney Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Here is a decent brown from 15 min down the road where the tigers were caught and about 10 mins away from where the brookie was caught. This lake is tough. Crystal clear water and very spooky browns. Quote
beedhead Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Sweet...Looks like early in the morn, or early in the night...I wished Alberta had more still water Brown lakes, or even some Tiger Lakes for that matter... Cheers...Jeff.. Quote
lorney Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 One of the nicer cutties I have seen. Caught by jksnijders from the board. I just got to hold for the pic. Had lots of color in the cheeks like a rainbow. has anyone else seen or have pics of a cutty with colorful cheeks. Would love to see them. I have caught alot of cutties and this one of kyle's is the only one I have seen with cheeks like this. Quote
lorney Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Yes Jeff that brown was taken in the evening just when the sun was going down. Quote
lorney Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Here is a cutty that I caught that had pretty cool spots on it. Real small dots. The darker spots on the cheeks seemed to be underneath a few layers of skin rather than on the surface. Nailed a stimulator. Quote
Guest 420FLYFISHIN Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 could be a cut/bow in spawn colors. but still a great lookin fish Quote
reevesr1 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Not that this is that big a bullie, but it was a total surprise. Fishing a fairly fast run catching little cutties in BC with my sons. This hit a stonefly and I thought I finally had a nice cuttie. Was very surprised when I got my first good look at it: My biggest flowing water fish to date. It's been on here several times. Caught in April a couple of years ago. Only 2 months to go!! Quote
CF8 Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Beedhead, you've got an unbelievable catalog of photos! Love them... Quote
