dryfly Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 In this morning's Lethbridge rag.... Wow! Whodathunk? __________________________ Quote
monger Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Tofu Suzuki is my hero. I have his poster in my bedroom. Quote
canadensis Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I think it is a great idea. I purchased "hybrid" badging for my Hummer. With the new hybrid stalls and my grandmothers handicapped permit I am able to park anywhere. Quote
fishpro Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I only had to see Lethbridge Herald and that it was posted by Dryfly to realize something was up lmao Quote
Taco Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 must be too windy to fish, Huh Schaupmeyer? Quote
Justfreewheelin Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I really hope that those poachers listen and only poach on the weekend when the fish cops are out. That was way too funny. Quote
jonny5 Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 My 1970 chev pickup was a hybrid of sorts... put it in first gear and you could use the starter to drive around... Too bad I dumped it in the bow river... Quote
birchy Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I'm appalled by the fact that the 2009 Green Car of the Year - the Volkswagen Jetta Clean Diesel - wouldn't qualify for one of these parking spaces! Uber.. it's totally serious. Quote
ÜberFly Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Yeah, the dead give away was "Tofu Suzuki"!! LoL P Uber.. it's totally serious. Quote
canadensis Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 This is a total joke, right?! P Peter, It is for real. They are also installing environmentally friendly outhouses on all the islands along the Bow River. Quote
ÜberFly Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Very cool!! I'll be 1st in line to take a big dump, since I'm so full of $hit! LoL!! P Peter, It is for real. They are also installing environmentally friendly outhouses on all the islands along the Bow River. Quote
cowtownscribe Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Too funny Clive. I didn't realise that Cabin Fever had already hit the south country Cheers! Frank. Quote
dryfly Posted November 8, 2009 Author Posted November 8, 2009 I'm appalled by the fact that the 2009 Green Car of the Year - the Volkswagen Jetta Clean Diesel - wouldn't qualify for one of these parking spaces! Hey Birchy. Too funny. We were in Edmonton last week and this Diesel Jetta (below) was parked outside of dad's condo for three days. Yeah yeah, I know it is not a 2009, but still. It was plugged in for three straight days. The coldest it got was about minus 4°C or some such. It was plugged in during the daytime when it was well above freezing. Quote
birchy Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 I've heard that plugging them in when it's not cold enough can actually do harm.. is that true? Doesn't seem to make much sense to me seeing as the regular engine running temperature would be a heck of a lot hotter than a block heater would be.. Quote
WesG Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 I think Dryfly is just jealous that there are new priority parking spots out there for the "special" hybrid cars owners out there and he cant use them..... Anyone ever seen that Southpark episode where everyone buys hybrid cars and the world gets destroyeed by "smug"? Its a good episode and rediculiously true, if you havent seen it you should. Quote
Guest 420FLYFISHIN Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 birchy - its not good to leave a heating element on for 3 days, its sorta like trying to heat your kitchen with your stove top lol bends over and take a huge huff of my own farts.....damn that smells good! Quote
