The memberhip is VERY exclusive.........Age is only one component.....You have to LOOK like you're over 80 (Clive)---even though you can be under 60 (me!!).......Secondly you have to have had, or be scheduled to have, at least THREE of the following: hip surgery, knee surgery, colonoscopy, treatment for depression, eye surgery, hemmeroids, arthritis, lower back pain, erectile dysfunction, memory loss, kidney transplant, bypass surgery, or other age related afflictions and have a certificate to prove it........If you've had an erection lasting more than 4 hours you can qualify with only TWO of the above..........Finally you need to be able to catch enough trout in a day to lose count..........Usually 3 or more will do it..........If you or anyone else can meet these stringently monitored criteria, you too can become a member, even as we speak.......... Al.......

Right on!!.......Moreau is a good tough leader but he costs us a goal a night with his lack of discipline.......Horcoff is hot and cold but I agree that if the coach is going to get something going he has to get his veterans motivated.........I just don't see a reasonable ratio of return/talent.......As you said they can't trade the whole team so...........

I know AYR says I'm not qualified to talk about the Oilers but last night was almost predictable........We have a 39 year old goalie who is the only one who's performing..........But it CAN'T be the coaching..........No, certainly not.......Hey we only have one first line guy (AYR's comment) so it can't be the coaching.............Jeeeeeeeez!!

Good post Rick and I'm glad someone is going to defend them because they may need it one day.......I was intriqued by your comments on how Galveston Bay was once full of tarpon that nobody fished for.........I'm with you---tarpon are the ULTIMATE game fish and if I could catch only one species for the rest of my life it would be tarpon.....Good post....... Oh and by the way, Clive SAYS that he and his grandkids have caught lake whities at Chin but I have never seen him even get a strike.....Now that may be my curse or could it be that he's, well, LYING??

I hate to say this but Dryfly and I are experiencing "selective whitefish" more and more this winter........We target them on the Oldman and Crow in the winter since we both subsribe to the "tug is the drug" philosophy (I love that expression)........Snce last November we've had several quite humbling experiences with the maligned RMWF........I fully agree with those posts who liken them to bonefish in all but a few characteristics---i.e. speed, fight, stamina, water temp., selectivity, spookiness, bragability,---shall I go on?? And by the way, if you want to get into some SERIOUS lake whitefish action on the fly, get Dryfly to take you out one evening to his secret spot at Chin Reservoir..........the action is absolutely non stop..........

Fish are wet all the time........(hey this thread's fun!!----wish I'd found it sooner.!!)
