Black, olive, white on full sink lines can be killer.........I make my eyes out of a piece of closed cell foam, like the sole of a thong (the kind you wear on your feet---not the other kind) and I just core out a cylinder with a cutting tube---I use an old steel golf shaft that I cut off.......(I would post a picture but------) They tie on easily, are super cheap, buoyant, and you can color them with a waterproof marker if necessary.......

This is tricky business........If the seller, or one who donates an auction item provides a "retail price" then that is the fair market value but not all items have a retail price...... An example of an item with a retail price might be a float trip by a guide who is in the business of selling float trips.....Some items do not have a determined "retail or fair market value" because the donor is not in the business of selling these items, e.g. flies sold by individuals who don't normally sell flies, and as such the auction selling price sets "retail value" or fair market price................We cannot arbitrarily assign a fair market value......The whole taxation issue is complex and what each individual may choose to do when filing their taxes is up to them......... In my humble opinion the value of a tax receipt in terms of the amount of tax one will save if they paid say, $600 for an item that had a deemed fair market value of $500, is pretty minimal and likely not worth the risk of a tax audit......

We're gearing up for the 2010 Stream Watch Auction and I'm looking for some help.......Greg has done this for two years past and is very busy, so while he's agreed to consult, we need someone else to manage the process.......I will do my best but I tend to be somewhat "Board Illiterate" so I may need some help or patience from time to time........
