I think it's awesome and I know your dad will love it.

The contests run by DrBulltrout have inspired me to try some different patterns.

Nothing I like better than to hear my reel sing me a song as a nice fish goes for a run!!!!!!

Sage but the new Orvis-Hellios is a fine fine rod.

Bought my first Hardy Marquis back in the early 70's and I now have several ranging in size from 6, 8/9, and a Salmon no.1 all of these reels are at least 20 years old and still work fine, in fact my first Marquis 6 is my go to reel for pink salmon when beach fishing...I now have several other brands but they will be hard pressed to stand up to those old Hardy's.

Here are a few of the fish that made my season so memorable.
