Shi tzu = Shitz for brains. I really feel sorry for you. My brother just left my house with his Shi tzu cross. Dumbest dog I have ever met. At 1 1/2 yrs old it wouldn't even come to it's owner when called. This dog knew zip, nothing, nadda. It's basically a walking piece of meat. I'm not sure the thing even knew it was alive. Then the frickin thing pissed on my carpet.

Keep in mind the color spectrum given off by the bulb itself as this can be real important in some hobby work. The Michaels ones I listed have excellent bulbs but you pay big for them also. Heat is also another factor, stick with fluorescents.

Anybody ever used a Loop Evotec CLCW reel? Loop claims they're unbreakable. Not a bad price either and then there's the "cool factor".

I'm not surprised at the damage they can inflict. I have a 65 gallon tank with a few Clown Loaches and 2 Large Silver dollars. I have been hit by the Dollars while cleaning the tank. Even though they are only 6" their initial burst of energy can be quite powerful and painful. Did the fish actually bite or get spooked and bolt in the direction of your arm while just happening to have it's mouth wide open?
