LMAO!!! got the whole pham actually...and there cousin the chinchilla...
not gammys yet brent but i got a similar hook wayne brought in from japan..yas a weird barbless hook point...kinda spade shaped profile....will try too find a link or website off the package tonight...
the past few post have have left me on teh vice late lastnight creating.....i took two shanks tied 2 flies....front half and back half then used split rings to atach teh two and trailing hook....i put teh middle hook on back too prefent bottom snags and more top lip hooks...
hey dude had this rod for under a month and for trout fishing i think shes perfect for me..its a long soft rod..has good hooksetting/mending capabilaties at far range..have bin nymphing with it tossing indis, triple rigs, tons of weight no prob...ive bin using a regular delta spey 6/7. tosses streamer great too...tons of action when fightin fish even in the mid teens...shes my troutspey rod fosheeze!
im thinking even on my big bully flies im not going too ahve a huge hook...little gammy egg hook 3/8ths - 1/2 inch gap or so...maybe a little bigger.....thats what most of the steelhead flies ive bin looking at have on em and if them big brutes are landed bullies should be fine too imho...
killer looking flies dude....lets make a deal..ill send ya halfdozen packs of umbrealla hooks(they will blow ur mind dude) if u send me a few of them patterns...PM me ur mailing address if u wish..i will try and dig our the umbrella cripple hooks too if i have any left...
agreed al...thanks for bringing this up..i think it was a slowly growing sport......troutspey..ffc has had a huge on people wanting too pick it up.....alot of people view the site...posting or not is another story...but we all buy fishinggear and i think alot fo people come here because they feel "the people" (all 1000+ members) will give them good feedback...
2 ladders..no problem...me u and 6 women..no problem...dozen rods loads of gear, beer, food and the dog...still got room for the ladies...sleeps great too...
jumpin on a little late but..i got a pair of simms l2's i believe..junst under 100 bucks...freakin awsome....cheap, durblew as helll with all teh bully hunting and whatnot they still havnt had much more than a few scuffs since last summer when i picked them up....they got killer ankle support too and dont have any seems and fancy stuff too get ripped and torn off like the last 3 pairs i tore through i 2 years...they dotn shrink..have drain holes..dont get all stiff and whatnot if there super dry....freakin love em and wont go back till tehre done...wich may be a few more seasons .....i stuck 2 sheet metal screws in the toes and heels of my boots for a little more traction up and down hills...
korkers ahve came a long way and talking too a few of my buddies who own and abused them thisyear they seem too be really durable..they do need maintnance tho..simple stuff liek cleaning out the tracks that the soles slide into and such...usualy the number one problem when someone loses a sole....crud jammed up in there before you slid in the new soles.....
hope that helps ya tim
hells yea meng..wutta ya get like double my milage at 1/4 the price compared too my durango...lmao....i here ya with school....but if it looks like u got time..u can study while i drive...lmao
