prettymuch everywere except the eyes and lips.. put a few in my chin while messing around with cowboy spey casts.. had a few clients stick em in me while fishing in the boat and have had a few friends stick me aswell..... not the best feling bt thank god for barbless... most memorable would have bin a while back when me and my cousin were fishing a pond and i stuck one right on the the backside of my thumb (pre barbless) and we couldnt get it out.. so we kept fishin and road our bikes the hour back along t highway and i got it cut out later in the evening..... will never forget the look on my aunts face..

i here ya silver doc.. made my prongs extra long and was going to trim em down every 10 minutes or so too see if that helps.. awas going too make one with prongs every 3 inches too and every foot too see the difference.... maybe some 60lb will help with the bigger lines compared too trying with a switch or smaler 6 or 7wt rod? gody loop u loop have loop any loop experience loop with loop these? could you have dropped it and bent the spool? if u head it grind only in one spot every revolution? ive seen this a few times.. tehre could be soem stuff in it if there is a constant grind

picked up a copy of spey castin II edition by simon gausworth.. AWSOME BOOK! there was a part near the back were he described grass leaders.. thought they were pretty dope.. all you do is take come stiff/heavy mono and make nail knows.. i used 30lb maxima... you make the nail knots every 6 inches or so and leave half inch tags... basically the barbwire like leader grips teh grass and helps you practice your spey/underhand casting while on the lawn... was going too give em a go tomorow and see how it works.. i made a 12footer... heres a few pics

i lvoe my switch being a 11'2" 7wt loop opti (discontinued) i like it mainly for the days i dotn need the range of a spey but need too fish at a decent distance fmo time too time, i mainly use one hand to do a lot of shortrange(under 50 feet) casting, highsticking. if i start too ge tlazy i use two hands and if the need too toss streamers and big rigs a long way i use the double overhand cast too do so... looking forward too seing the new loop stick.. wil be added to teh collection forsure!

what if te regs were 3 fish under 20 and non over? leave the trophis too grow bin and strong? keep te stocking te same jstu change the regs too maintain trophoy fish in a trophy lake?

yes its a switch dude the 11ft 5wt would be anice rod for tossing nymph rigs i would figure havnt cast it but i could make some nice underhand casts forsure!

TM this aint a spey discussion..... we all know... thanks for bringin it up again... there are tons of spots that require much closer casts like 10 feet.. even hullswood.. most of the fish i rememebr u catchin lastyear were in that 40 foot from te bank mark only double overhand dude it is too much graphite too swing around all day single handed with a overhand cast... flyon th only real disadvantage that i have found is on smaller streams it can be a pain in the ass and it takes a little more too get usto.. fatigue might set ina little early... like a hour or so maybe....... all depends on teh caster

that trip aswell as a few others i know on most of the major bully streams are closed too fishin!

some of those fish look starved.. ive heard teh shrimp n minnows are almost gone.. wish they would stock half as much as they did so there was more room to grow and more food too go around... i dotn blame the wack n stackers much... yes htey do take fish but there should be more if there was more room too grow... how about only stocking 10 000 or even 5000 sure enough they couldnt keep that many in a year..... not even half

i agree dude but posting photos of fish on a fishing board make most assume they were fished for.. so it dosnt suprise me that the post went the way it did.. he didnt halfto but if he jsut posted saying what he was doing nots aying got out with abuddy and posting pics of bulls... it wouldnt have bin a bad post at all and it wouldnt have went sideways . but posting they way he did was misleading and asking for it IMHO glen is a great guy and a honorable fisherman who would have fished for them fish i know that but " testing th waters" or not got him the responce he deserved and would hav showed those new to the sport that fishing for bulls in spawn is ok.. not his intention i know but if he didnt comeback and say he was out helping biologists that is what i did look like and would have portrayed to all..

dai-riki!!! all the way.. same hooks as daiichi but i get 50 for the same price... daiichi if i cant get any dai-riki mustad are cheap junk that bend and partidge make some coold hooks only they have htat i use fmtime too time... only mustad hook i own are the sjw hooks.. tiemco make some good stuff too but i find they are oto rigid and break from time too time

my favorite rod for hte bow this year ahs bin a 11'2" 7wt one/doublehander for nymphing but half a fot and a fot are HUGE>.. they make mending easier, hookseting at distance easier and rollcasting a breeze i strongly recommend the extra foot or even 6inches.. wil make life much easier for you on teh bow i figure dude!
