  3. Wonderful pictures, thansk for posting.
  4. Perhaps, I intend to give it the old college try again this summer. I tried popping it along butt the Browns scattered. I want to tie some really small ones up.
  5. Tried tossing a mouse in some of my small stream big brown waters, put em down for hours.
  6. They rose to a number 28 Sluggo Dry fly. Took Skwala out to his backing twice.
  7. Just a few more, hope they help to break up your winter
  8. OK more
  9. A couple more...
  10. More...
  11. Myself & my very good buddy “skwala” from the forum had a blast walking streams and pinching trout last summer. We didn’t stray much from Dry Flies except for a bit during high water. It was fantastic company, great scenery, and eager Trout. We fished mostly bamboo with a dash of Fiberglass & carbon thrown in for spice. Lots of heart pounding rises, hits and misses, half decent hatches, good and bad weather and an abundance of chuckles. I never seem to take enough pictures. You should have seen the ones that got away….
  12. Sexy dungeons and buggers.
  13. I use my sliding chop saw an awful lot more than my table saw for interior finishing work. Table saws are nice for ripping those big sheets but a lot of building supplies will cut big sheets for you in store. I guess it depends what you will be using it for.
  14. When I see unlawful practices I report them. I haven't lost my mind in quite some time. The "standard" should be to protect our sensitive environmental areas where we can make a difference. There are no plans to Ban OHC's, only to protect sensitive watersheds where severe damage is being done.
  15. Don't forget to report any illegal off-highway vehice usage again this year. I've sent pictures and videos of offroaders the last few years to F/W with good results. It's worst than poaching as its much longer term and deeper damage.
  16. At the last round-table Fisheries meeting, they stated that sensitive streams like the Ghost-Waiparous area had been filmed from the air to survey damage from OHC's (off-highway vehicles). The idea was to not only assess damage, but also look for common illegal crossings to further enforcement.
  17. I have a couple of good patterns. This is one, the other one I am out of as I passed a few to a buddy during the Expo. Will be tying up some and will post in the next few days. Both have really worked well.
  18. You are right Toolman, I have never seen Salmonfly hatches on the Bow, the ones I see are on smaller and slower streams. My fishing buddy Skwala and I from this board hit a great hatch but neither of us had patterns at the time, since then I carry them religiously.
  19. The trout are not shy during that hatch, I see trout everywhere then.
  20. See salmonfly hatches most years. Mostly just the end of the hatch but I have been lucky enough to catch a few big hatches. Always like a few different patterns just in case.
  21. That looks great
  22. My 11'9 - 7 wt Meiser S series has handled Steelhead and Salmon without a problem.
  23. Just an idea but go to Canadian tire and chek out their over the boot ice cleats for ice fishing. Might be somethig that works.
