  1. Shite Mike - sorry to hear this. Hope they get caught...or that Karma catches them
  2. Those look good.
  3. Conor - those look great. Jason
  4. Hey guys - First off, Happy Holidays! I have recently been tying a variety of bead head small nymph patterns (Tung Stud, Zebra Midge, Flashback Pheasant Tails etc) on scud style hooks. I am wondering whether you guys use specific 'bead head' scud hooks for these or just standard scud hooks? I have been tying these on Daiichi 1120 and 1130 (size 16-20). These hooks are both 1x short length. I just noticed that Daiichi also sells a bead head hook #1260 which looks to be a bit longer. I imagine it would be easier to keep proportions correct on this style hook? Am I overthinking this? Jason
  5. jayhad - totally disagree. I have used my WM on the Bow as well as many of the Montana rivers. Stable as a rock, tough as nails, easy to assemble/disassemble, carries a lot of gear, comfortable to sit in (with the new seat). I upgraded the oars. Great customer service. Absolutely no regrets.
  6. Recently picked up one of the boxes to try this out. Worried that the line may develop kinks, but we will see.
  7. Now THAT is a big pike!
  8. Agree - Kananaskis, Spray Lakes, Wedge pond. Lots available in the Kcountry area (although a small boat or pontoon makes things a lot easier).
  9. I saw this a few months back. Amazing video. Sad to hear that there are still many around Yellowstone who consider them to be a nuisance and shoot them whenever they wander out of the park.
  10. BigFoamy - this has been the majority of my experiences on the river as well. Jason
  11. I try to keep an electronic log. I have found this to be very useful for places I get to visit infrequently. Memory isn't what it used to be
  12. I find that a back pack style blower works very well. The majority of snow we get is so dry that unless you have a huge space to clear, the push style thrower isn't really necessary. I have a husquevarna.
  13. GGP - those are fantastic
  14. Al - Sorry I can't give you any tips, but you will likely find a wealth of info at one of these two sites: http://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/forum/4-four-wheel-camper-discussions/ http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/forums/71-Expedition-Campers Jason
  15. That is bad news. Jason
