By switching side to side to fast and repetedly you can bore a larger hole in the fish and when is does something funky it has a better chance of tossing the hook although i do like side presure. Seeing what happens here.

When spinning deer hair, use belly hair, then you dont have to crank quite so hard, apperently (from what Chris AKA wetduck and dave at fishtales tells me) is is hollower and spins better, and boy it does, went from just barely able to spin to making some decent heads in 1 purchase.

Come on BH, take a ski pole and tap the ice, it it has a nice ping your good, any thing else go back, and put some long nails in your pocket incase you do fall in you can use them to stab the ice when you pull yourself out.

In belize you can take the water taxi to all the different cays relitivly cheap and wade for bones, and the off chance at permit. You can hire a guide for a day and he could show you the good holes you can access from shore.
