  1. That would be nice, just watch out for when a computer doesn't log you in. The longer you've gone without using it the harder it will be to remember. Your plan could totally come back and kick you in the ass!
  2. Anyone know of a good place to get metal plate weights for adjustable barbels at a good price. The best I've found is Go Mango Fitness Equipment which sells them at a rate of 89cents/lb. Has anyone seen them cheaper?
  3. It will likely take some time to train him not to run into the holes you are fishing. I had a husky for years and nothing got her more excited than saying "let's go fishing!". Your dog will want to run through the woods and explore, just make sure he knows when to come back to you. It would be great for him, he will tire himself out with a day in the woods for sure.
  4. Well they do have a full warranty service which would cover it. I'm thinking you may want to have someone fix it (if possible) simply for the fact that through the warranty service they would most likely just send you a new rod which is normally good, but I'm guessing you would want to keep the original rod for sentimental purposes.
  5. I've heard that bear bells are less effective than they used to be since bears have learned that they signify people and hence food nearby, so they can actually attract the bears to you.
  6. I bought a pack of five for a fishing trip up to northern Alberta. I used one each day and can say I was quite impressed. I did have a couple land on me, but I did come home with about half a dozen bites on my head and neck. I will definitely continue to use them.
  7. Have fun in the chocolate milk! I'm gonna be 300km north of Fort Mac on a fly in trip for pike!
  8. I have duct tape and crazy glue, plus a backcountry spot to exchange!
  9. A tourist has been visiting Cuba for a week.He is leaving the next day and he still hasn't tried the food. He goes to a restaurant and sits down to order and then sees what the man next to him has.It looks very tasty. The waiter comes to take his order and the tourist tells him he wants what the other man beside him is having. The waiter says there is no more left. The tourist then asks him what the meal is and the waiter replies that it is the testicles from the bull that lost the bullfight earlier that morning. He tells the tourist that if he comes back tomorrow he'll save this meal for him. The tourist thinks, "What the heck, it'll be my last day here," so he comes back the next day and the waiter has his food prepared for him when he comes. The man eats the meal and thinks it is delicious. But he is confused about one thing. He calls the waiter over and asks him why his meal looked smaller than the meal the other man had the day before. The waiter replies, "Oh, sorry sir, sometimes the bull wins."
  10. If you're talking really small creeks that involve only short casts you can get by with a 6'-7' rod, however if you're talking midsize creeks that involve 30'+ casts, I would go 7.5'-8.5' as it gives you a greater ability to meand and control your line.
  11. Is it not enough that you get to take home a share of the perch caught?
  12. I will second the recommendation for Southbow, they also have demo rods you can sign out for a day or two on the river to see how they fish.
  13. I would recommend going around and talking to some store owners. I'm sure if you go directly into the shops and talk to people you'd find some work, and a good way into guiding.
  14. For item 28, is it known whether the Multi Reel is the regular multi or the multi light?
  15. Who was the winner of the net? I didn't get my bid in until 10:00, Slingshotz got the last 9:59 bid. I thought he got it, but I see that I'm listed as the high bidder.
  16. Perhaps if you replaced "Sage" with "TFO".
  17. Did he send a pdf specifically about the trip? I know when I emailed him about it he said you could choose from any of the trips he offers.
  18. http://www.steelheadheaven.com/seasons.htm I'm guessing this is what you're looking for.
