Can You Help Me Win The Trip Of A Lifetime?

Hey everyone! I've entered another contest through WFN and am looking for your votes to help me win! In this contest, they take the top 20 entries, and select the best one to win. If I'm chosen, I get a 3 night 2 day guided tarpon fishing trip in Florida! All I'm asking of you is to click the link below and vote. Thanks all http://www.wfn.tv/joecontest/view.php?entry=287 Also, you can vote as often as once per day, and can use up to about 10 email addresses. The contest runs until November 23rd. -
Has anyone here ever gone on any sort of any adventure/aerobatic flights in the Calgary area. My girlfriend and I are thrill seekers, and I'm thinking for Christmas this year I would like to get us the oppurtunity to go on such a flight. If any of you have done this sort of thing could you let me know who you went with? Thanks!
-
That looks incredible! Never been there myself though, so can only judge based on the video. If you are looking to do a large trip along those lines, I would recommend Jurassic Lake in Argentina. If you go there during their spring (November/December), it is without a doubt the most unbelievalbe fishing you'll ever see. The rainbows average about 26-28 inches, and you can easily catch 50 fish in a day!

Dfo...west Coast Tidal Fishing Regulation Question
fishpro replied to a topic in General Chat - Fishing Related
If I remember correctly you can because there is no limit on how many fish you can have stored at home. The possession limits only apply to what you have with you away from home. Unless they're Chinook Salmon, which have an annual limit which you can't go over. -
Thanks for the input everyone! Still not sure if I'll get one or not as I have a very light 2 wt that I really like and I'm not sure if this rod would be a ton nicer to fish with. Does anyone know of anywhere I may be able to go to test cast one of these rods?
-
Thanks for the response, and I appreciate your concern. While it may seem that light weight rods would result in playing fish for a very long time, when they are used correctly they can be very effective at fighting fish, and sometimes even get fish in quicker as you can put on more pressure when using light tippets. I've read other reviews of the rod that talk about it being very good at bringing fish in as well.

Hey all, been thinking about maybe picking up a Sage TXL 000 wt over the winter. I was wondering if anyone on here has used any of the very light rods in this series and tell me what they were like to fish with. Obviously these rods are made for ultra light dry fly presentations, one review I saw said they could use up to about a size 14 with the rod, what have you used for it? Also, if there's anything else you could say about it - how it casts, etc. that would be great! Thanks

Just wondering if anyone has heard of the new policies being put in place by various companies. I read on a site that starting October 1st, retailers will not be able to sell products (such as Sage and others) below MSRP. This was mentioned as part of advertising for a sale, so perhaps they just used it as a reason to move gear, or there may be truth to it. Has anyone heard about this?

Personally I think this is a good idea, there will be more room and more people will fit onto the trains. I can say from experience that people do cram in very close to one another on the trains when they need to fit more people on. Another option would be to put 4 cars per train, then at the smaller stations just stagger the trains at the platform so people could enter and exit all four at once.
-
Definitely worth the money, if you can get a good deal on them then you might as well pick them up.
-
Personally, I like to land them much like you see the bass fishermen on tv land fish, just grab the lower lip!
-
I have the 7 wt Loop Multi and will say that it is a very nice rod to cast. Def has a lot of backbone to it and matches well with a 7wt Airflo 40+ line.

Hey everyone, there's three days left in the contest, closes this Friday night, so if you could get a whole bunch of votes in for me that would be great! Thanks Dustin

Back to top, currently in 16th place. I appreciate all the support, thanks everyone!
-
Thanks for the support everyone! I'm still in 15th and am really hoping to make it to the top 10. I'm about 1300 votes out now, so it will be tough, but with your help I'm sure I can make it! Thanks again, and remember, you can vote from each email you have once per day! http://www.wfn.tv/adopt/view.php?entry=607

Just bumping this back to the top, I'm in 14th place and would really like to make the top ten by the end of the month. Thanks for the votes everyone!

Hey all, I recently found out that for the WFN contest, although you can only vote for one person once per day from each email address you have, you can enter votes for multiple people at once. So that means if you have 3 email addresses, you can give as many people as you want 3 votes per day. I have contacted the other contestants, and some of them have agreed to make a group thread so that you can see who all you can support. This way we won't be competing against each other for your votes, and we can hopefully get more Albertans into the top ten. Here are some entries so far. If you want to be included here, send me a pm and I'll post your entry. Let's see if we can get an Albertan to win this!

Hey all, just found out something interesting! Although you are limited to how many times you can vote for a person, you can vote for more then one person from the same email in a day. So if you have 6 email addresses, you can vote 6 times for one person, and 6 times for another in the same day! It would be great to get a bunch of Albertans in the top ten! Thanks for the support everyone and keep those votes coming! http://www.wfn.tv/adopt/view.php?entry=607

Up to 14th now! Thanks everyone, keep those votes coming!

Thanks for all the support everyone! I'm up to 17th place now, and just need to make it to the top ten to have a chance at winning, which I'm sure I can get there. Thanks again for your support, and remember, you can vote up to once per day from each email you have. http://www.wfn.tv/adopt/view.php?entry=607
