  1. Clive I just ordered a new camera from B&H and along with my NAPP discount I saved hugh....like 65% over price here
  2. Pattern # 3 Hook : Daiichi # 2441 size 2/0 Thread : Hot Pink Tag: Flat Silver Tinsel Tail: Charteuse Bucktail Butt: 5 strands of peacock herl twisted into a rope Toolman I know you don't tie but you should be able to add a component so please do I changed the order of the tail and tag so it would be in the proper tying order for those that have never tried steelie flies before
  3. You can treat piees of fresh hide with pickling salt as well but scrap as much of the fat off the hide as possible to help the curing process. As for hair from various parts of the animal this link should help http://globalflyfisher.com/staff/helm/selecting/chart.html
  4. It's not the way i was looking for or seen before. I've sent off an email to a friend of mine in mainland Europe for his input and still waiting to hear back.
  5. I have used one and it works ok but it doesn't do anything that I can't do on my Nor. I find it to be a pretty pricey piece of plastic. If your into gadgets I would say this might be one of the more useful ones depending on what you want to do with it.
  6. Genetic quirk of a cross breed maybe?
  7. I saw somewhere on how to straighten deer hair (remove the curve from the hair, not straighten by stacking) but can't recall where I saw it at. Does anyone know how or know of a link for doing so?
  8. I've caught them through the ice before but that was some years back. As for the limit in the NWT it may be that there is not enough pressure to keep their numbers in check.......in alot of places there are not highly sought........they are great smoked btw
  9. pick someone else...I'm trying to keep this on a schedule of sorts
  10. Brent please pass on to someone
  11. I don't use the mayfly ones; don't like the end result I get from them but I do use stone and caddis ones from time to time.
  12. The ones in the pic are mayfly in case you didn't know
  13. You pretty much got the idea minus the clothes pin. You can also use them with swiss straw, web wing and other similar wing materials.
  14. I'm guessing 26.5
  15. LF 25 LK 9
  16. Right now from the responses received it won't be till January at the earliest.
  17. no problem Brent can happen to anyone
  18. As for it applying to all users don't hold your breathe even though it would be nice......rafters and the like should be licensed or at least require a permit of some sort. As for the increase I agree with Brent that it should be more but maybe not double I'd say 50% to at least bring us more in line with our juristions. I would also like to see a separate non resident rate like all other places seems to have.
  19. Writer 1 you can add the next component.......Brent missed it but found it and added sorry Writer
  20. I'm looking for interest in this swap ....not necessary to pick a number as of yet
  21. Brent : would please add the next component to the fly?
  22. 36.25
  23. Let me check with some one I know that works as a warden for Parks Canada, I'll be seeing him on Tuesday night
