  7. You can mail them to me or drop off your choice. There is a tentative plan for where the flies will go but details still need to be worked out. Once more details are worked there will be an announcement on this matter.
  8. I got my copy when it first came out from Mike At CP. I've seen it at Russels and at I think Fish Tales as well. It would be nice to have these tied as they were originally.
  9. You got it
  10. I'll leave the Turck's Turantula open till I hear otherwise Brent. Just one of each and any size designated for that pattern in the book.
  11. The bobbin is a key element in the process....it does take time to adjust to the operation. Video demos are on the Nor-vise site in case you don't find your copy or you can PM me and perhaps we can arrange for you to boorrow mine.
  12. Here's a couple of links: http://www.geocities.com/salmn8r/rotarytechniques.html http://www.albertabowriver.com/alberta/rotary_tying_tips.htm
  13. Hi Rick Could you be more specific as to how you want to quicken your process? Start by telling what tools you are using and that sort of thing and I'll try to help as best I can. I'll look up some of bookmarked links that may be of help to you. One last question: Have you studied the videos for your vise? Lots of help tere as well.

  20. I'm looking for volenteers to contribute some flies to make up a display that will be displayed at the FlyFish Calgar/Flyanger CA booth. The flies to be tied are to come from the book by local author Neil Jennings Trout Flies of Alberta and Southeast British Columbia. It would be prefferable to chose flies that have their roots on the Bow or their creators are from the Calgary area. If you don't have the book and would like to participate you can PM me for a pattern; just indicate a general idea of what you would like to tie and I'll work with you to find a suitable pattern. It would be nice to get as many different patterns as possible for this project. I'll be doing a pdf of the photos of flies done that each participant will receive a copy of when completed. There will be a separate locked thread containing who is doing what fly to be used for a reference. Make your selection(s) early as I'm sure the good ones will go fast. Deadline will be the Friday prior to the show in order to prepare the display. Thanks and let's make this display one to be proud of.
  21. I guess red wire is not just for SJW anymore
  22. I edited the size in the other thread but it's going to be a size 16. A note about this hook as well you can't judge it's size but it's size number it's bigger than standards of the same size.
  23. Now if I told you that it would take the fun out of learning something new. I will tell you this one of my favourite patterns is tied on this hook.
  24. From my limited experience with a spey there was not a whole lot of left arm movement as comparedto conventional one hand casting. Actually I found it a lot easier.
  25. No link ....saw it Northwest Fly Fishing if memory serves me right. I'll see if I can find it or still have it.
