  1. Seriously... No ginch wet wading is the only way to go! Keeps the "wolf bite" at bay for days!
  2. Agreed... I thought Korker Chromes were great. For about two months. I left a sole in the mud some where. Then they left me stranded on the Madison this spring after the cable busted. Simms Guide Boots for me now. Best gear decision ever.
  3. Watched three of them feed on a dead coyote in front of my house this spring. Bald Eagles that also land were diminutive in comparison.
  4. I did specify "Alot of this conversation" not just your input. The big question is always where do you draw the line and what is enforcable? Fly fish only? How about Spey cast only? Barbless hooks are already nearly impossible to enforce. Maybe we should add a maximum line strength? No indicators? Dry fly only? No Jets? No more then one drift boat per section per hour? I have alot of ideas that would make my fishing experiance more enjoyable but do they really "protect the resource" or serve the greater good? I doubt it.
  5. If you are so worried about the resource cut the hook off your fly. Now thats a purist. Alot of this conversation smells like elitism.
  6. Go back a page or two and read wingshooters post. They have escaped from a pond into the Medicine River.
  7. It's called Rate of Return! Yes that is what "Evil Big Oil" requires. You would be surprised how thin the margin actually is. Don't fool yourself we do compete with the world. While everyone is all up in arms over this Enbridge line a gas line is quietly being proposed for a LNG port in Kitimat. Where is the OutRage against it?
  8. If big oil thought they could make a buck on building a refinery in Alberta it would be happen. Maybe the government (aka the tax payers) should subsidize a refinery project in Alberta. The fact of the matter is the same people who hate any new development would also hate the refinery. Not to mention Newfie labour isn't as cheap as it used to be.
