  1. I wonder how many of you that are crying about Tims litter causing havoc to the environment live in a home with more than one john per person and house over 2000 s/f, have a rec property, live in the berbs and drive to work every day, and own multiple household vehicles? But I guess it is all OK because you use a refillable "go" cup? Sorry but if suddenly all paper go cups were outlawed throughout the world it would not ammount to a hill of beans difference with anything. All the yuppie Moms in my neighborhood hanging at Starbucks sipping latte's out of reusable mugs with thier hybrid Escalades and Tahoe's in the parking lot really do think that they are making a difference. Oh the hypocrisy.... And there may have just been a little bit of satire in my first post, just a bit..
  2. Ya paying more for a coffee should solve the litter problem... heh- love the logic on that one! I am glad not too many people have jumped on the PC bandwagon with their own mug. Just imagine how much longer the drive thru line at timmies would be if they had to wait for the customer at the window to fill their refillable mug? All those cars idling longer puking exhaust would surely be worse for the environment than a few cups in the ditch. The garbage gives the inmate work programs and the 4H something to pick up in the spring. This is a self esteem builder for both groups. Cups in the ditch are a win win the way I see it.
  3. I volunteer for a couple weeks every season on the Research Vessel Yushin Maru. Here I am on the water cannon; Big celebration leaving port;
  4. Good for you guys getting out in the winter!
  5. Now thats a good one!
  6. I am quite aware of different leases. Grazing leases, Leases through the Ag Disposition act, mining leases, etc... Each have their own conditions of access, they would want you to think they can keep you off all of them, but not so. The lease that encompasses the Fortress area has its own verbage to stop you from trespassing in the immediate buildings area, but the road as an example they cannot stop you from walking up. Same as the leases in the forestry when the Oil companies punch a road in. They put up a fence and a sign that says "no trespassing, private property" It is total BS you can still acess the area for fishing and hunting, but the leaseholder wants you to think you cannot because of the misleading sign they post.
  7. You should have told them to piss off! It is a LEASE in a provincial park and they cannot keep you from accessing your land!
  8. Most of you lightweights could not handle it.
  9. Looks like you should have posted a pic of yourself catching a sucker fish out of some local slough, maybe that would have made the penut gallery OK with your entry? I voted for you a few times, good luck!
  10. How are you certain that you have H1N1? Did you go to one of those assessment clinics? Sounds like you are faring OK, good to hear.
  11. Flimsy. Same could be said about low income people well under 65.
  12. If all else fails pony up and wear a pair of simms under the streamsides. Problem solved.

  17. Save a tree.. Wipe your ass with a spotted owl.
  18. I don't quite understand your point wolf man? All of a sudden at 65 years you have paid enough so you should get a free license? I pay a whack of taxes, I woud say more than my 90 year old father in his life, so should I get a free license? I love the sense of entitlement, it seems to be the canadian way....
  19. Peter, It is for real. They are also installing environmentally friendly outhouses on all the islands along the Bow River.
  20. The citizens own the resource. We just contract the alberta Government to manage it on our behalf. Gotta love the sense of entitlement that some seniors have. They are no more entitled than any other citizen.
  21. I agree. The point I was beating around the bush about is what you pay for something soley based on your age is discriminatory.
  22. Well then what about seniors discounts and seniors menu's?
  23. I think it is a great idea. I purchased "hybrid" badging for my Hummer. With the new hybrid stalls and my grandmothers handicapped permit I am able to park anywhere.
  24. This is how some Ontarians speak of Albertans...
