You'll be fine without a power commander. It won't run exactly the same while idling is all. That's what i found when i modded my exhaust. My gixxer has the following yoshimura pipe power commander bmc race filter took out the exhaust valve in the pipe (the one with the servos) Dyno'd 135HP at the wheels.
