  1. I will disagree with some things said here and keep in mind this is IMO.

I own a Ford F150 XTR 5.4. Before I bought, I researched everything, just like I do buying anything the past few years. ( AC unit, LCD TV, ect....)

My truck gets 500 km on a tank in the city. Not bad not great. The highway, and it seems you stated towing, is closer to 600 km.

My brother has owned almost everything when it comes to trucks and SUV. He now drives a GMC and also owns a Tahoe. He had a Eddie Bauer expedition before the Tahoe and much preferred it inside and out. ( to many reasons to list)

The 5.4 is a strong engine with a lot of torque. Important when towing!

All the domestic companies are going through hell right now. Go figure!

Ford has sold more trucks in the past 30 years than anyone. I know what the comments wil be here!!!! LOL

Ford is known for producing one thing well...Trucks and that is it. 75% of their sales are trucks, SUV.

I know the import argument and even bought a Honda Oddessey this summer. ( 2 kids) The van is awesome and I never considered Domestic here!

I, for one will back the GALVAN reels. Own Ross, Islander and 2 galvans. All my reels work well for the intended purpose. I have a Galvan Torque 5 for my goto streamer set up on the Bow. Although I probably only have 50 hours on this reel, it is awesome! Also own a OB4 for my 5 wt. nymph rig and this is a nice reel. So smooth for drag!!

As was noted, for 400 plus there are a lot of good ones out there!!

Bought my last one on ebay for 225.

  3. Good trip eh Harry! I heard the river was up by 2-3 feet at some points. When I fished Margaree 3 years ago it was the opposite with no fish moving due to hot and dry conditions. It rained a bit on the sunday they had the 50 anniversary of the Causeway and I headed monday morning and landed my salmon!!!!!

Going next year in August and will give er a go again. It is so addidctive. Let me know if you will be down as Jason may also be home.

    Cheers

    Rob

  4. FYI

I was checking fishing shows on my tv the other night and found that New Fly Fisher has an episode friday night 7 or 7:30 with Gord Kennedy ( Westwinds) on the bow in search for Browns! Sorry, can't recall channel.

God bless my PVR!!!!! this is on Bell programming by the way.

  5. I am a DIE HARD habs fan, but would have loved to see the Flames come through. It is dissapointing when 60% of the players in the NHL are Canadians yet, now, only one team left.

Getting outshot by that margin time and time again takes it's toll. Still, win and lose as a team. Hard to point the finger at one, including a coach who can not play.

    GO HABS GO!

BTW, ADC, what happened in Montreal after the game is as disgrace. The last I heard, there was a hip hop concert let out half an hour before the Habs finished off Boston and a lot of these people contributed to the idiot behavior. Not defending anything, but, it taints a good thing for ther city and loyal fans.

  6. Headscan

I can vouch for the Simms in vest. I bought one 2 years ago at Westwinds. 150 bucks at the time. Great for the purpose you are looking for. Breathable and light!!!

I think the heavier ones are overkill/ I own a midweight Simms Windstopper and wear this underneath. Layering up is still best.
