We're looking into that for Mike as well - but his is a nerve issue. However, the reason we found out about it is through my friend who has neck issues due to a herniated disc high up. She absolutely SWEARS this has saved her from surgery so far. And she doesn't care about the $$. It hasn't totally alleviated her pain but she has gone from spending days in bed on a board, unable to move, to being able to work on a regular basis and enjoy life again. If that isn't reason enough to try something, I don't know what is. I'd try just about anything before I let someone open up my back.
I also have the nerve issue. ( Sciatica) They go hand in hand. The pinching on the nerve from the disc causes this. You sound like you know this already.
The benefit of the surgery is it takes out the leaked portion of the disc. I will try almost anything.
thanks

I think you maybe surprised how little it takes. My neighbour will go from hardly walking to playing catch with his kids in 2-3 days.
If he needs a little extra he holds onto dumbells. 30 min twice a day.

Do you know if his back problem is disc related?
-
Thanks. I think my disc issue needs more than inversion but, I am no doctor.

Been dealing with a herniated disc issue for 20 months. Jumped all the hoops, ctscan, mri, physio etc.etc. Waiting on word for a possible surgery but exploring all options.
Anyone know of someone who tried the decompression route. There is now a clinic in Calgary and I am thinking on it. Although expensive, worth it if it works!!
thanks

Won't affect me...the only thing that affects me is time, and I have all of July and August off
Plans are...
Lake fishing in the Kamloops area
Lake fishing in Sk and Mb
Bow, and Crow
SE BC 2x
Montana 2x
Golden Trout
SE Ab streams at least a couple of times.
Police Outpost
Lakes at Palmer's ranch
K lakes in May
(Forgot to add Steelheading in 3 weeks in BC)
...and then a whack of trips on the lakes around my area.
Looking forward to joining on the S.E. BC yearly trip and a few bow floats with ya!!!

That is an impressive hopper!!!! You will love the floatability on the fast riffles. I still use the traditional body from time to time but most of mine are foam.

Been wearing Simms aquastelth boots since 02 and will never go back.

Sometimes its frustrating posting on here.
Meaning..................................????????
If it reference to your post ( that I did not read) well ..... tough.
Many things are frustrating .................... its called life.

A lot of the above analysis is reasonable and holds some truth. However, when talking and comparing shots with stats you need to be careful. A team can be outshot but not outplayed. How many shots were due to power play and even 5 on 3????
The QUALITY of the shots is the key. Perimeter players come in by the dozen and so do their shots. Box scores can't explain this. Only watching the game can.
I am not a Flames fan but Kipper is famous for making the big save when need be. The guy wins games with not the best stats. It will be interesting to see how the relationship with Captain Hook ( Keenan) goes. Something has to give.

My opinion is simple. Anyone who regularly watches Fox news, or takes anything they have to say as actual fact is not worth my time worrying about what they think about Canada.
Oh, and I wouldn't doubt if Stephen Harper watches Fox new.
Agree " Fully Completely"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Caught a few at that spot.......................I think it is around Canmore!!!!!!!!!

I put a little tapred blob of knot sense UV glue at my fly line/butt material knot and it passes through the guides like butter!
This will help you. Been using this method for years and never a problem.

Peak rotary for this guy! About 4 years old and 165 bucks at the time. Base is about 6 pounds and solid for size 24-2 ( hooks I use).

If my boys make ***hole angels next winter they are getting a good tanning on the hoop!!!!!! JK

Does Islander make a 4wt reel? I didn't see any on the page I was looking at.
Islander IR 2
Great reel to compliment my 4 wt. XP. I use this set up for dries on the bow ans crow. Click and Pawl is nice on the smaller reel.

A gooder indeed!!!!

Usually whenever someone posts about a company's warranty service it's to complain, so I thought I'd post this positive experience. The tape on the stocking feet of my Simms G3 waders became detached a little while ago. I used the new Simms online warranty and repair page to submit the claim. It gives you a handy mailing label to print out (though you still have to pay for the shipping yourself). You instantly receive an email with your RA# and a link to check on the repair status. Then received another email to let me know they had received my waders, followed by another telling me the warranty repair status was approved. Then received a phone call from them to let me know the repairs were complete and verify the return address followed by another email saying the waders had been shipped back to me.
The amount of communication was pretty impressive compared to other warranty services I've dealt with in the past (both for fly fishing gear and other things like electronics). The turnaround was decent too - they received them Feb. 17th and shipped them back today. Can't wait to get them back now so I don't have to use these cheapo spare ones with zero insulation any more.
Bought the original Simms Guides back in 2001 ( paid about 650 bucks!!!! damn loonie) and have since owned 2 more pair of waders through replacement from Simms on defective seams. Their warranty and service is OUTSTANDING!!!!!
Everything I own for apparrel is Simms for this reason. I did spend a lot of coin over the years on their products but they returned in spades with great wader service.
They used to be the most expensive but now their are others comparable.
When talking with any service/warranty rep it pays to be nice.

Guess not......
Yeah ....... not even close. Price and the crew have zero confidence right now.

Well they stopped the slide, maybe only momentarily because the hardest part of the schedule is coming. But they looked good, or the Habs made them look good, anyway they kept skating and going to the net and the result was well deserved.
A definate combination of both factors trailhead!!!!!!
-
Go habs go..........No Habs No!!!!! By boys are a sinkin fast. Need a trade or shake up. 2 short handed goals and the Flames skated them to death. Hopefully a win in Oil country wenesday.
Hanging my head in shame.
Even my 5 year old son is distraught as he made a bet with his kindergarten teacher and has to wear a Flames tshirt this afternoon!!!!!!!!!!
-
I also have been tying my own leaders for 10 years. A definate cost saving and as mentioned easy to change things up.
Maxima for the first 3 sections tapering down with various tippets depending on use.

Good job!!!

Kinda did that with my truck, it went like this
Me: Honey I want to talk to you about getting a new truck
She: I don't want to talk about it
Me: OK
Two days later
She: Who owns that truck parked in our drive way
Like you said good times
AWESOME!!!!!
I buy her the good gifts at bdays, Christmas etc.......... can't wait to get myself a new rod!!!!

I had a good one that would warm the car, brush off the snow and clear the ice of the windows then I got Divorced and now I do it myself.
Sounds appealing.........but, might still look into other options!!!!!

Lynn I did all the red tape stuff I was asked to. I tried chiro on my own assumption and from there had tylenol3 for the first time.
Then it was many doctor visits and waits for ct scan. Next was 2 months of physio where he even told me this was not working. After that, the mri, and next to a spine specialist. They asked me to wait 3 more months but after 20 months of this I am not optomistic and hence........... looking at everything!!!
thanks
