Alot of people think they're great eating; same family as walleye, and walleye are considered by many to be the top table fare fish in the province. Light dusting of flour, seasoing, butter, and squeeze of lemon, and its pretty good, imho.

I myself don't favor them until they reach at least 15cm, but there's an easy way to clean the little ones and then bake them.

I’ve eaten walleye and they are good, just never understood the draw of perch with the effort vs meat. People be crazy.

this is AB, the amount of people that will lose their minds about being excluded to fish a public resource, or $$ for access... Hope it works, but i suspect i know what the general consensus would be from the 'dey took er jobs' crew..

I think a lot of these projects are on hold until the BRAP is released (Bow River Action Plan).  From my understanding it should be released shortly, which will hopefully provide the direction and timelines that many of these projects will take.

I’m not sure how much this relates to the BRAP entirely as they are having safety issues with the road itself, and more use then expected. Guess we’ll see

UHMV- I don't see why it couldn't be installed. Not cheap.

Would probably lose any value of having a fibreglass boat from the weight of it. Plus doesn't it have to be fastened to the bottom with bolts?

You must have a mini drifter as my Honda 50/35 HP weighs 203 lbs...... most drifters start around 275lbs. as has been stated they will never row like a drift boat but if you keep the weight balanced and to a minimum and have a decent set of blades they can be rowed rather easily if you have spent any amount of time on the sticks.....

A quick Google lied to me, you’re right that a  60/40 Yammy is 250 lbs. I’m impressed with the weight of your Honda

and Jason, I get it. I sold my boat as I was sick of having to dedicate full days, especially when the river was fishing poorly. I’ve always got an eye for the right boat on Kijiji it just hasn’t come yet

  6. I don’t owe one but have rowed a couple renditions of them from fishrites, Hyde’s and Jon’s. They’re not fun to row, but it is doable. You essentially can row them to keep straight and slow down a bit. It’s just never gonna row well when you have a motor with that much weight in it.

Power is your friend in getting across the river..
