  1. if you are walk and wade, head down macleod trail, turn left at 194th ave all the way to the river. also you can try the bow at the deerfoot trail bridge, park in between the two bridges, head north or south of that spot. there are plenty of areas to fish the bow within and just south of calgary, good luck!
  2. mine is a nickname I have had for around 25 or so years. named after a friends dog, mutzer, but substited the m for a p not sure why but it has stuck all these years.
  3. for all of the southern alberta rivers mentioned above this post there are great campgrounds provided by one company called rocky mountain camping, just google rockymountaincamping.ca and you will see what I mean.

  7. if you lose your WIN card can you get a reprint or how does that work, cost, etc....
  8. I have alway been told to keep your feet pointed upstream due to the fact that if your feet are pointed downstream they might get stuck in a tree, rock or any other debris. Have I been wrong all these years? Looking for input.
  9. this one is funny. stuffwhitepeoplelike.com
  10. and yes, rickr is correct when saying steve moore did not deserve this. nobody does. as far as big bert's productivity, we will see. he will not be on the #1 line, at best he will be on the 2nd line or 3rd line. I do however believe he will be on the 2nd pp unit. 1st line, iggy, langkow and camalleri. 2nd line ? rene bourqe, lombardi, big bert? 3rd line ? boyd, conroy, nystrom or glencross, conroy, nystrom 4th line ? who knows? primeau is the centre anyway. sorry got off topic, go flames go. good luck to big bert, everybody deserves a 2nd chance.
  11. bertuzzi doesn't need to be fast. he just needs to crush people in the corner and as well, stick his big arse in front of the net, wack in rebounds ala dave andreychuk. all of the new additions are young or fast, except for big bert. I personally like the look on the team.
  12. I was there Monday morning and on my exit they were tearing up the road. the construction guy said I could turn around and go thru Inland's property. not sure if we can use this road to get to their parking lot or not. could be worth a shot. if i go down in the next day or so I will keep you guys posted on access.
  13. thanks guys. i have fished the highwood, just not this section. i'm certain I won't be buying 4 kayaks, unless of course if they are about $50 each, hahaha
  14. has any one here ever floated the highwood in the canyon stretch between the k-country boundary and longview post run-off. i can't seem to find any info in this regard. friends are coming out from ontario in august and we were thinking about floating the highwood, any thoughts? any info is helpful info.
