  1. Point just proven.. (Seems to me the 40 + gal in my pic wasn't so tough..)
  2. The only thing about that which I found offensive is that I laughed so hard I damn near pissed my pants..

    First Pike!

    Consider yourself hooked.
  4. That's pretty wild.
  5. Walleye have a thing for moving water..
  6. Oh sure... Waders, whatever. Kinda get a bit scared for my boys when I have a decent one on and my line is racing directly back to me though. Went for Sturgeon once in a 12 foot aluminum boat, that was a ride for sure..
  7. Can't outsmart this stupid thing..
  8. I've been going for them since I was about 10, and I've seen some pretty horrific handling practices. Fish pulled into the shallows, line dragged onto the shore ( no matter what the shore was ) scale stuck between the lower jawbones, weighed, and sometimes tossed back before being revived at all. Alot of fish in that size class or larger whacked, or just tied beside a boat or whatever, dying a slow death. What anyone would want to keep one that size for I'll never understand, they don't taste good, and what are you going to do with 20 lbs of pike meat? I think Clive's intentions are good, but like almost any one of us, the temper gets ahold of the typing fingers. I'm probably the worst snapcase I know, so I can relate. Nice fish fellas, it's good to hear you're making yourself a cradle... The pic is one I found once, went over 40". Sad to see such a beauty dead on shore, quite probably from being handled as I mentioned.
  9. A long exposure, even with flash, made this pic look kind of interesting.
  10. Their eyes definitely are suited for low light.
  11. This one went 26 ". Very low light, and a flop out of the net to freedom just as I took the pic..
  12. Or as Weird Al said, "Pretty Fly for a Rabbi".. Got one once a few years back accidently, always meant to target them since but never got around to it. After seeing "The Lawyer's" post thought I'd put up a couple pics. Most aren't great, was pretty dark when they get real active. Lorney and I got out late one night just to get out of the house, it turned out to be a good call. No leader, just heavy mono, mainly because (myself) I figured any incident pike caught would probably be small, and lacking good dentures, and Walleye teeth don't cut line. Got a bit of a surprise when a high 20's pike grabbed my Woolly Bugger though, only thing that got it to shore was the corner o' the mouth hookup.. Definitely going out again, and hopefully get some better pics..
  13. That's an awesome quote..
  14. Herman Li is the man...
  15. Assuming your phone has it, that is..
  16. If your computer has Bluetooth, you can do it that way.. Set it to "discoverable", scan with your computer, and file transfer is easy..
  17. That's awesome..
  18. About a 1/2 pound more Superhair than that pikey weighed....
