I now own 7, 2 yrs ago none, neat rods in shorter lengths (under 8ft) Hardy, Scott, TFO, Lamiglass, Tom Morgan, Dave Redington are currently producing glass rods and/or blanks. bit of an ignored niche market. Only rods I'm willing to spend big bucks on after 40+ of fishing will be fiberglass and or bamboo.

  10. In some systems bulls are now proven to be late summer/early fall spawners being basically done by the first week of October. That said, I know of 2 tailwaters down here that I wouldn't mind seeing open to winter fishin'
  11. Mountain pine beetle w/o the mountain... yeah I can see your point I'd imagine it'd be more of a fire issue than anything. The problem with fire in the Porkies is that they can run northeast 60-80 km before they get put out.

  19. Damn things are in the Whaleback, gonna be a hell of a fire one day. Picture taken in early Aug of this yr, looking west out of the Porkies, twenty minutes from my house, thats 22x @ the base of that ridge
