They would have understood the teenager's point of view and given them all the slack they could have in that situation. trailhead Posted August 4, 2009 Share Posted August 4, 2009 This is interesting in that something similiar happened to my wife and I down at Castle Falls. I was fishing downstream and I kept picking up floating empty beer cans and putting them in my net. There was a group standing on the cliffs above the falls pitching the cans in, they saw me and I think thought it was funny that I was picking them up. Anyway the mother of one of these young a$$holes runs up and screams that the cops are coming and to hide their beers. It turned out to be a young woman F&W officer. The kids were absolute pr**ks to her, had no respect whatsoever. I was going to get in the middle and let her know if she needed a witness I would step up, but my wife said "don't go there". Which was probably a good idea as I didn't want them to "bust a cap in my ass". I think that part of the problem is that a lot of todays youth have a gangsta mentality. In my day it was BillyJack. bhurt Posted August 4, 2009 Share Posted August 4, 2009 Peter, The spot that you were in (The land not the water) is owned by Nature's Hideaway, and is a camp group, swimming hole and a well knowen party spot. Not saying the kids had the right to do what they were doing but I have been going to Nature's Hideaway for a very long time and its the same old same old, with the exception their are more people hopping the fence to swim in a very well known swimming hole, instead of paying the $5 for day use of the area. I have had a problem with people there in the past and all I have done is went to the front gates informed the person working there, they then go down to the river and start booting people outm if they have problems they then bring in the RCMP.
