cdock
I've read all of Jim McLennan's books, Barry Mitchell's FTR book, Match the Hatch, and a few others. I'm on the hunt for something new to read. Any suggestions?

Pythagoras
In the Summer I eat up the Sci-Fi and leave the fishing books for Winter.....some of my fave include... Starship Troopers Forever War Old Mans War Enders Game
reevesr1
Love Ames and Geirach. I read a book called The River Why by David James Duncan (bcube lent it to me) that I really liked. Bcube actually has a book of mine (not the Ames one Brent, the other one) that I can't remember the name or author. If he is around, maybe he can put the title and author up. It's really good as well.
headscan
In the Summer I eat up the Sci-Fi and leave the fishing books for Winter.....some of my fave include... Starship Troopers Forever War Old Mans War Enders Game Heh, I read three of those four in the last month. Maybe I'll have to check out Old Man's War next. For fishing books, anything by John Gierach, Roderick Haig-Brown, and Thomas McGuane.

Rp3flyfisher
If you want a great book that is totally different than the normal flyfishing book, go pick up "What Fish See" Great book that teaches you what colors are best at different depths, water types, etc.... The book was written by an Optometrist that is a flyfisher. Rick
cdock
Thanks everyone. And some sci-fi as well. Nice! Where can you find "WHAT FISH SEE"? I've never heard of it and certainly have never seen it.
Kingfisher
I got my copy of What Fish See from amazon.ca . It's an interesting perspective for sure. Rob
newflyer
Don Quixote any serious fly fisherman should read this and draw whatever inferences they would like... replace the lance with a rod and the donkey with the vehicle to get to the rivers and its not much of a stretch. I will also second the Longest Silence.
