Weedy1 Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Warning - language and generally revealing language - in other words he screwed himself. So what do you think? How long will he last? Will Stephen turf him? Click here if the movie does not play. Quote
cheeler Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 From 1991, I'm sure they knew about it for a long time and tried to keep it under wraps. Quote
DonAndersen Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 cheeler, The tape was found when the NDP was moved to the offices of the previous occupants [Conservative]. Appears like the Conservatives don't clean up after themselves. So they suffer a tad. Don Quote
Castuserraticus Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 That's terrible and not acceptable. He talks just like most guys do in a hockey dressing room or while fishing with close buddies. Do we want average guys like that running our government? So the NDP are not above snooping through other people's stuff looking for dirt? I thought they always took the moral high ground. Quote

You can not condon that behavior or comments but surely people forgive for less. What has been the guys track record since? Pretty sleazy in itself to throw a 16 year old tape into someone's face. I wonder how the NDP would feel about past crap haunting them again? Someone told me once that our great Federal NDP leader was taking up cheap rental control housing for himself while being a MP years ago. That housing was for poor people...not poor leaders... Quote
jimbow Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 once a homophobe always a homophobe. but of course considering the party nothing will happen. Quote

trailhead Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 You guys do know that this happened in Regina right? And that it is a Saskatchewan provincial member of the legislature, which means Stephen Harper has nothing to do with it. And that it happened at a drunken office party. I sure hope that people out there have forgiven me my past indiscretions from 16 years ago. Oh and check out the Tom Hanks film Philadelphia for a perspective on societal views from that time period. Tom Lukiwski is a member of Parliament. http://www.lukiwski.ca/ Brad Wall, one of the other guys on the tape is Saskatchewan's current Premier. http://www.gov.sk.ca/premier/ Quote
openfly Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Seems that the Conservative spin meisters are already hard at work. I've heard everything from, "Well that was 16 years ago," to "How desperate do the N.D.P. have to be to dig up this old video." It will be interesting to see if the Conservatives remain hitched to his wagon for long. Quote
