rudedawg Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Dog Pound from bridges at Horse Creek Trail and Rge Rd 35. Some log jams are getting moved around, and a fair number of dead snags were blowing down and onto the roads. 3 Quote
rudedawg Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Little Red Deer, around Hwy 579 bridge and Big Prairie bridge. Lots of lumber barrelling by! 3 Quote

curdit Posted June 15, 2022 Posted June 15, 2022 Opening day is right around the corner. Not sure if anyone is super keen on getting out there, but a heads up: Highwood pass (Hwy 40) is closed at the moment. The closure runs the regular winter closure due to avalanche risk. I think it will be fair to say that the fishing out in Kananaskis on the streams may be a bit difficult and dangerous right now. Went for a drive along Powderface Trail: JumpingPound at KM marker 10-ish 2 Quote

curdit Posted June 30, 2022 Posted June 30, 2022 Managed to get out onto some Elbow River Tribs yesterday. Water is high, but clearing and fishable. Landed a bunch of palm to 1ft sized Cutts, Brooks, and one small Bull. Looks like we are back in business. 1 Quote
