Guest bigbadbrent Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 So, what's everyones resolutions this year? Fishing related - Get to southfork, carnavorn again, and all the other lakes in the highwood valley. Also gonna try to do a huge grandslam day, brown trout, brook, rainbow, cutt, grayling, bull, whitefish..will be a lonnnng day non-fishing - get in better hikin shape, time to start runnin again Quote
OneMoreLastCast Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Get back on track as far as the things I usually do annually.... 1. Steelheading 2. More Kamloops area lake fishing in the Spring/Early Summer 3. Tie more over the Winter months....(So far, not so good) Also going to work on getting my two Daughters out more now that they are less dependant and actually want to come along. One last one might be a long shot, but I'd like to try to get published again since it's been quite awhile. Outside of Fishing....Work less so I can fish more. Quote
Guest bigbadbrent Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Brett, lets go find some Gerards in the spring Quote
Teck71 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 New years resolutions 1. get in better shape 2. get to the south more often than last year 3. meet more board members Teck Quote
reevesr1 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 1. Never post when angry 2. Don't let a fishing board get me angry 3. Become more proficient at fishing dry flies (which isn't much of a target) 4. Practice dry flies on southern streams when cutts are hungry, so I can pretend to be proficient 5. Get wife more involved Quote
Weedy1 Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 1.0 To continue to try to piss off Rickr. 2.0 To never smoke again. 3.0 To spend more time in the mountains in the coming years. Quote
rusty Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Catch a big salmon in Alaska in June Catch a 30" rainbow in stillwater Catch the elusive 28" brown on the Bow The last two are probably more like life goals than resolutions - but hey, you gotta aim high. Quote
snakeman Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Make at least 3 trips to the East Slopes cutthroat streams (zero last summer ) Quote
alhuger Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Brett, lets go find some Gerards in the spring If you end up fishing for them in the kootneys let me know, I have some good patterns for gerards. Quote
alhuger Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 As for fishing: 1. Fish for springs and coho in the summer in northern BC. 2. Fish square, brigade and white lake this year. 3. Figure out lake fishing with my new two hander. 4. Fish the seymour again and this time not get stuck in quicksand. 5. Learn how to actually consistently catch on the bow. There is more (there always is) but this are the big one with 1 and 5 being my most important ones. -al Quote
OneMoreLastCast Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Brett, lets go find some Gerards in the spring Done....I'll let you know when I'm going and you do the same, those poor "Cross Breeds" won't know what hit them. Definitely hitting the Kamloops Lakes starting in April and the others I'll be hitting in May can't be posted. Quote
reevesr1 Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 1.0 To continue to try to piss off Rickr. 2.0 To never smoke again. 3.0 To spend more time in the mountains in the coming years. Listen, ya SOB. I know you think you're funny and all but I'm frankly getting a bit tired of you pushing my buttons. Out of curiosity, if you break your New Years Resolution before the New Year even starts, does that count? Quote
DonAndersen Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Rickr, You got buttons - I thought they were all knobs. Don Quote
