ghus32
Hi All, I will be working in Fernie area week on/week off. Possibly living in Sparwood. What sucks in my case is I am an Alberta resident and would like to go fishing after work. Other than the Crowsnest river, are there any rivers that are not classified within 20-30 min drive? Spending 20$/evening to fish after work will get pretty expensive. Thanks
bowbonehead
You could try some lake fishing but other than heading back to Alberta you are out of luck
rudedawg
The Flathead is not classified, but outside of your 30 minute window ... and along some active log hauling roads. Wadeable, and classic cutthroat & bull trout water.
DonAndersen
Some of the streams in the area may not fall under the Classified Waters designation. Check the regulations. I found one that I fished that had decent cutthroat fishing years ago. Don
Flyfisher
I know the area intimately and can't think of a stream within your driving range that isn't classified.
