ÜberFly
Looks to be a practice scenario (though the swim was not intentional, from what I was told)!! https://instagram.com/p/BUPtL3vh19N/ That's Aaron from Troutfitters!! Total Waterpolo stroke!
sldrose
that looks like an nrs freestone drifter (inflatable drift boat) i've been wanting to demo one for a while. (not like that tho)

bcubed
I want to see why it flipped... good swiftwater swim after!
ÜberFly
Empty boat, those NRS drifters ride high! Apparently, Josh in his Clacka made it through, but a fibreglass boat is much heavier! Yeah, I don't think a weaker swimmer would have been able to swim out to the eddy and would have been in trouble!! Not sure what the flow is and how that effects the size of the rapids. I betcha there will be quite a few flipped boats after it opens!!

troutfriend
When they opened the first Harvie Passage they did a similar testing day with elite level kayaks and paddlers. one pair in a purpose built highboy river canoe were not able to make it down without capsizing in their two attempts. Dangus
Lol did he go down sideways? Woulda helped with buddy in the front rowing a bit rather than sitting in there all puckered up. Reminds me of rafting the nile in Uganda. We'd go under every rapid we hit. That being said those are monster rapids. They'd swallow a 14 foot raft and it would come up 200 feet downstream!
