qhk Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Found this two weekends ago on a tributary to the Little Red. That's my line but it's only hanging there because I had the rod wedged under my arm while I took the shot. I moved away from the spot after getting the photo. I should note that this stream was heavily impacted by cattle grazing. Quote
bcubed Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Hard to say definitively without being there, but it looks like a potential redd. If it was cattle you'd see more disturbance from bank to bank Quote
Dangus Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I agree with cube. I do notice that browns like spots near disturbances like that one has. Quote
sldrose Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 looks like one to me. The redds i've seen are usually deeper, but have seen some shallower ones like in the photo as well. The browns are still spawning downtown on the bow, just saw a bunch of them today. Quote
SilverDoctor Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 Yes, could very well be. I've seen trout dig test redds often only to move to a different spot that might suit their needs better. Quote
