fishinglibin Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I have only seen fish with Sapro on the Bow although I am sure many rivers have fish with it. I was at Macgregor today and was sure I saw a Sapro fish on its last legs, (or fin I guess). Is Sapro in any lake and river. I know some of it is from handling fish too much, so I have have partly answered my question. Can it be passed from fish to fish? Quote

monger Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Fungus infections often show up as a secondary infection after some stressor, tissue damage and/or bacterial infection. Once the fish's resistance is down/compromised, the fungus can get a foothold. You often see fungus post-spawn, but as the fish regain their health their immune system rises to the occasion to win the battle....sometimes not Quote
