TransAlta has entered into a 5-year agreement to control flow out of Ghost Dam !

They also seem to be willing to let more water out during drought conditions..will be interested to see the results of that

I'd like to think fisheries biologists were consulted about what impacts this might have....but I know better than that.

My aunt lives in the area, and both of her wells are now dry.

 

There was no prior consultations with land owners in the area, and it seems that the government is taking a, "its your problem" approach.

Water levels at 8am were traditional. At this time, the Elbow is up 2 1/2 ft. Soon it will wash away the bank replanting they did in the fall. Figures, wasted money to replant vegitation that will wash away.
