Christmas Flies

My girlfriends 12 year old has been busy spinning deer hair for his Christmas flies. He has now tied over 120.

Those are the ones. He is selling them in hopes to save enough money for a Nor-Vice. He now has them in Fishtales, Country Pleasures, Westwinds and Ironbow.

This fly is called the "Yuletide" tied a few last year, got the pattern out of Fly Tyer.

I picked up some of these for my relatives Xmas tree's, or to use for whatever as decorations. Sure hope the young man gets his Norvise, I think he will put it to very good use in the future!

Thanks everyone. I’m happy to report that Ty got his Nor-vice and is loving it. I was amazed by what this vice can do and was a bit jealous, so I also picked one up for myself . Ty has since been asked if he would like to tie some fly’s at the Fly fishing Expo later this month and answer questions in hopes to get more young people involved. I am so proud of him. He will be doing demonstrations on all three days of the show.
