Proposed License Increase

So will this be comparable with BC's classified waters licensing system?

It doesn't look like it compares to the Classified waters licensing in B.C. this looks like a general increase rather than one targeting specific waters?...which is fine by me. My understanding of the Alberta system is that most of the money from licenses goes into the resource? An increase is probably needed and a bit late in coming.

You mean it might cost more than 30% of the price of a tank of gas for a fishing license? Shocking!

My understanding of the Alberta system is that the majority of the money goes into general revenue and very little goes back to the resource

I seriously hope they crank it up as long as it helps provide a better environment for natural, and stocked bodies of water.

 

Like everyone here fly fishing is my passion, and I would not be opposed to paying hundreds of dollars per year to see this happen.
