SilverDoctor Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 We had a wedding at Emerald Lake Lodge, a stunning place for such an event. The last day we where there after the ceremony fell on opening day for the lake but I wasn't able to wet a line with comittments I had. The area was a feast for the eyes and not fishing didn't bother me. View next to our lodge, watched Sheep and Grizzlies walking on the sweeps. From our front porch, nice to wake up to this. Love the wicker it was everywhere in the various lodges. A great little bar to have a drink and watch the fish rise. I consoled myself with a few drams of my favourite here and tied some flies. Funny I was selling ‘em as fast as I could tie to the masses of oriental tourists who where released daily from multiple tour busses. I think I am now in about five thousand holiday pictures. Then the busses would leave by 5pm or so and the place was dead. Boat rentals Compulsery wild flower picture Fellow fishing in the back corner, I was jealous, had to go back to the bar. Quote

Muffin Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Nice pictures. My sympathy level is very low for you for having to experience such "hardship". 1 Quote
aaa Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Your probably right about being in the 5000 pictures, and all those flies are now on display on living room trinket shelves from Tokyo to Osaka. You created a untold number of memories Doc, good for you! Amazing scenery...been driving by the turn off for years, now I must visit! Quote
