RunnyD Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Does anybody know regs about being able to fish on native land. More specifically around the Redwood Meadows/Bragg Creek area? Quote
DonAndersen Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 RunnyD, Typically you need permission of the band office and in some places a license. Don Quote
Din Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Ask Humblefisherman and Faceless what they do when they fish on native land?!? Quote
Guest 420FLYFISHIN Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 they hide! The best way is to go with a card holding band member, this will stop most if not all complications that might arise. Quote
FraserN Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 Yes, as fish4trout says, a "bullet proof vest". Don't ask me how I know. Lets just say I will not be fishing the Weaselhead section of the Elbow river anytime soon. Quote
jasonvilly Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 I fished the elbow in redwood meadows last year, however I was with a friend who lived there. They are not native, and they said they see lots if fishermen there. Never even thought we would need to get permission. Not sure what would happen if you were to just drive there and fish. Maybe call into the band office and ask? Quote
