robert Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Glenmore res is open today but curiousity gets the better of me about belly boats on the res. Reading this: http://www.calgary.ca/DocGallery/BU/cityclerks/9018.pdf 11.1 © Says they are not allowed? Shall not be inflatable? Quote
ÜberFly Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 So if it says inflatables are not allowed, what don't you understand?! P Quote
robert Posted May 1, 2011 Author Posted May 1, 2011 Maybe I should rephrase the question... Canoes and other hand launched, self propelled boats are allowed in... anyone know the reason for no float tubes? Or even pontoons I would assume. Quote
troutlover Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 they don't want anyone IN the water you are not allowed to swim in the Glenmore. I dont know why i just remember that from high school gym there are no fish in there anyways. Quote
ÜberFly Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Yeah I worked boat patrol for a few years and we would always bust the kayakers for practicing their eskimo rolls!! So for other then emergencies (swamped canoes and turtled sail boats), no swimming in Glenmore Rez! I guess dangling legs would be considered swimming... P Quote
fishinglibin Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 No Inflatable or power boat is allowed, as that is our drinking water. It is illegal to walk on the ice in winter, and no dogs allowed re the mess they make. Cheers Quote
ÜberFly Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Like the man said, there are NO fish in Glenmore Rez!! <--poke--< P Quote
petti Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Your also not allowed to jump off Glenmore Tr. bridge into the Rez. It was fun back in the mid 90s though!! Quote
robert Posted May 1, 2011 Author Posted May 1, 2011 ok, fair enough. I usually research waters a little before fishing them... Quote
Castuserraticus Posted May 2, 2011 Posted May 2, 2011 Strange rules - your free to swim, float, crap, pee or whatever in the river immediately above the reservoir but aren't allowed to enter the water once it's in the reservoir? If it's OK for the fish to fornicate there, why can't we? Quote
darrinhurst Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I'm only confused about what are the fish on Glenmore Trail. Most say they are Chinook Salmon (for the mall), but I think Browns heading eastbound and Rainbows heading westbound.......... Sorry for the Highjack. Please continue...... Quote
