I've taken my DSLR in the boat in a Pelican case but I'd like to take it with me when wading but I don't want to lug around the pelican case. I'm interested in hearing what others do.

Thanks in advance.

Very carefully. Mine's hit the water on several occasions but water hasn't made it through the bag. Yet. Got a Lowepro pack that works well.

Mine is in a small drybag in my pack while wading.

But I will carry it around my neck, tucked into my waders on occasion (get insurance on it if you are on the water).

Most of my DSLR shots are "scenic" and of other people. No need to have it out in a hurry.

Fish shots are quick with a waterproof P&S that I keep in a pocket... better for the fish and safer for my gear.

You will see people tucking their dSLR into their wader. It is quick to draw, but will not survive if you fall or wade too deep.

This is certainly not my way :), but I thought we all have different risk profile.
