ÜberFly Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Just curious... How does everyone store their rod tubes (other then crammed in the corner of their storage room)?! I was thinking of building a rack (picture a box with [modified] lattice on the top). Anyone have any other interesting (creative) ideas? P Quote
birchy Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 In a plastic bin like this, under the bed: Quote
ÜberFly Posted October 21, 2010 Author Posted October 21, 2010 Ryan, Seriously!! Didn't think those came in 4 1/2' (double rod tube) lengths... I mean I also have 2 piece rods, 3 piece rods, 4 piece rods and 5 piece rods ranging from 21" all the way to 54" tube lengths... P Quote
birchy Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Yeah, not long enough for a 2 piece. My one 2 piece is in the back corner of my closet. All the rest are 4 pieces and fit in there with room to spare. Quote
ÜberFly Posted October 21, 2010 Author Posted October 21, 2010 Mike (Tungsten) how much to build something like this (a little more ellaborate then what I would require )?! http://www.stoneycreekflytying.com/16_-_postions.htm P Quote
CDone Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I have 4 corners in my shop, all full. Peter that looks like a rack to hold maps or blue print tubes. Colin Quote
Giovanne Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 I store them in my mud room closet leaning in the corner. I suppose their could be something better, but for 8 or so tubes this works fine. A storage device to store a storage device seems redundant to me. Quote

I hang mine in the garage up and out of the way. Quote
Giovanne Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Here you go. With a Jiffy marker you could write "rod holder" on the side to make it custom. Quote
skearns Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Mine lay nicely up on the rafters in the garage beside the skiis....it also helps if you are 6'4" or taller....sk Quote

ÜberFly Posted October 22, 2010 Author Posted October 22, 2010 Chris, You can drop me off at "West Ed" when you and Mr Finocchio head up there for the grand opening, maybe I can pick one up there, as well!! P I'm sure you can get those at Cabelas in Edmonton Quote
Giovanne Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Udderfly, Grab me one of those boxes as well. I could organize the 18 or so (lost count as there were so many this year) 30"+ Brown trout in my freezer with it, should work perfectly. Quote
