I think Playfair was a great assistant, but he left a little to be desired as a head coach. He was a little too stubborn with his game plans, especially in the playoffs - his answer to getting outshot 5-1 is to just sit back and continue to do the same thing??? Stick to the system game after game when it's clearly not working? I also got a little tired of his constant line juggling. I wish him the best and hopefully he has learned from last season.
Not sure Iron Mike is the right guy though. If he sticks to coaching it should be a great fit, I just hope he does not get into a power struggle with Sutter. Time will tell I guess.
